No one ever expects to hear news that your baby has Down syndrome. It is scarey, at first, and more than anything shocking. It wasn't until I heard the words , "It is going to be okay", from a mother, whose child has Down syndrome, that I really knew it would be okay. Sometimes, in order to get past obstacles in life, it is neccesarry to talk with others who are facing the same trials we are facing. So without further ado, let me be the first to say "It's going to be okay"! Please share with me any info that you feel may be useful, any literature, etc. I would love to hear your story.

That EXTRA 21st Chromosome only adds EXTRA Character, EXTRA Charm, EXTRA Love, EXTRA Excitement over the little things, and a whole lot of EXTRA innocence. I think that everyone could use a little EXTRA!
I am a busy mother of four boys. I love to be involved in my boys' education. I love to eat whatever I want-even though I know it's bad and I always feel guilty when I am done. I love to write songs. I love to go walking, and I love to be with friends. I love anything that needs a little creativity added to it--I am a big dreamer! I really, REALLY love a good laugh!
